Vince Zampella, Has Died in a California Car Crash

The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California aged 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.

The renowned video game developer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a highway in LA on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This is an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
